Answer: The labeled ACs are more efficient than non labeled ones. The payback period for the incrementally higher cost of labeled AC is 1 to 1.5 years. Thus the incremental price can be recovered in only 1 to 1.5 years in the form of reduced electricity bill. The normal life of AC is 8 to 10 year, so rest of its life the energy saved by the AC is actually bonus for the customer.
