My husband and i are old (70 and 60), and we were able to install this thing by ourselves, though it is heavy, and it is difficult to lift it above your head into the attic. We did have an electrician come do the wiring, but, it comes with a cord and a plug, so we were able to connect it to a wall outlet and use it for the couple of weeks it took for the electrician to come. without a switch, it just runs on high, but that's what you're most likely to use in the summer anyway. it's very... more

My neighbor just spent $3500.00 having a new furnace put on, which for me was out of the question...I bought your furnace (same size) for $575.00 delivered to my door. I'm 75 years old and had it installed and running in 6 hours complete. And that's for changing electric, gas lines, upper plenum and lower base. I had an 18'x20' addition to heat with Hydrondic floor heat, I looked at Micro Boilers for less money but the EMB-S-5, had many built in features which made it much more economical, and easier to install. It had to fit underneath a cabinet so the size of the unit was able to be installed where I needed it. With the thermostat relays and the pump start relay built in, it was very easy to install on my one zone system. The floor was warm over night, it is quiet, and is working perfectly.
